Updated-Victims on Highway 32 were struck by a vehicle, not shot as calls were dispatched

Updated-8:03 a.m.- Updated We are getting reports that this was some type of accident, the victims were not shot as initially called in and dispatched, we are updating as information becomes available

 

Original – 4:51 a.m.- Mount Pleasant Police are on scene in the area of Highway 32 and KR after calls came in for a person laying on the road. Additional officers responding along with fire and rescue personnel from South Shore Fire Department.

Radio reports that there are two patients shot at this time.  The condition of the victims is not known at this time.  Flight for Life was requested for one victim, but isn’t flying at this time due to fog. Patients are being transported to Wheaton Franciscan Racine Police and Kenosha Police have been requested to assist with traffic and detours. There is no suspect information.

5:40 a.m.- South Shore Fire and rescue were called back to the scene for a 3rd patient with an unknown medical problem
