Registered Sex Offender Faces Charges of Using Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime

Use a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime. He was given a $15,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court on Friday afternoon. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 2.2016.

According to the criminal complaint on September 28, 2016 an officer with the Racine Police Department was dispatched reference a child enticement complaint. Officers met with an officer with the Department of Corrections Parole and Probation Department who turned the defendants phone was turned over to police stating that is contained sexually explicit conversations between the defendant and a 15 year old girl on the “Fast Meet” App, including the defendant wanting to meet the juvenile at her home.

Investigators with the Racine Police Department obtained a search warrant for the defendants phone and were able to retrieve evidence showing multiple sexually explicit conversations and where it was documented on the app that the girl was 15 years old. Investigators spoke with the 15 year old with her father present and the 15 year old admitted she did speak with the defendant and the defendant had come to her home but nothing had happened. In addition to the statement from the juvenile, and GPS information is showed the defendant go to the girls home. Investigators spoke with the defendant who stated he knew the girl was only 15 years old and “anything he said, was him joking around”
