Racine Woman Fighting Brain Cancer Moved To Tears By Kind Gesture

mandy 2The kindness and greatness of the people of Racine SHINE AGAIN! Alexandere sent us these pictures and this information this morning, he wanted to share his experience doing a piercing with a young lady,  30 year-old Amanda Garcia and the message from her friend. Amanda is fighting stage 4 brain cancer for the second time and has a 9 year old son.

Sheri stated “Took Mandy to Body 360 here in Racine at Regency Mall tonight to get her nose pierced and after we left, one of the guys working there came and found Amanda and asked her to come back to the store for a minute. When she walked back in, both employees let her know that they were refunding her money and that they were going to pay for her piercing. They said her story touched them.

For those of you that don’t know my friend Amanda, she is battling brain cancer for the second time around. And when I say battling, I mean BATTLING! Be thankful for the little things in life. Be thankful for a job, your health, whatever it may be, but live everyday with gratitude and with LOVE!

Thank you very much to these two guys, to pay for her piercing is way more than what was raised last month on the go fund me page that was made for her and had over 1,000 shares! Yes, a $20.00 piercing was more than what was raised. She was in tears when we left over your kind gestures! For that I thank you from the bottom of my heart for her to see first hand that there are still people who really care! We will be back to shop at Body 360 for sure!”

mandy1Alexandere added “This was the amazing post that I was tagged in last night. This woman is amazing and even though she cried while talking to me I am very happy I had the honor to pierce her. I pray for her to win the battle she is fighting and to see her again soon. I want everyone to know what happened during an experience I will never forget. This is one big reason why I do what I do.” Alexandere plans on keeping in touch with Mandy and her family.

Her friends have set up a GoFund Me to help Amanda and her son. Click for more information:
