From Racine County Sheriff-Attempted Robbery Suspects in Custody


Racine Sheriff’s Investigators were able to identify the vehicle involved and have taken two females into custody for the attempted robbery. The suspects are identified as Melina A. Duemling F/W 06/02/99 from Mukwonago and Summer E. Swain F/W 12/19/1994 of Wind Lake. Both suspects were taken into custody at their residences on 10/05/16. Both suspects are currently being held at the Racine County Jail on numerous felony charges. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and there is currently no other information available.


On 09-29-2016 at 7:41 p.m. the Racine County Sheriff’s Office responded to 7812 S. Loomis Rd in the Town of Norway for an attempted robbery call. Upon deputies arrival the suspects had already fled the scene. Deputies and investigators learned two females entered the store and attempted to steal money from the cash register while using a knife. The suspects were unsuccessful in their robbery and did not get any money or property. Nobody was hurt in the robbery attempt.

The suspects are described two white females in their late teens to early twenties. 5’01” – 5’06”. Both have thin builds. It is believed a late 90’s to early 2000’s Buick LeSabre with a tan landau/vinyl roof may have been involved.
