Fall Back on November 6th for Daylight Saving Time

fall backDaylight Saving Time is Sunday November 6th. Set your clocks back an hour! This year, the clocks fall back an hour on Sunday, November 6, meaning everyone gets a much-needed extra 60 minutes of sleep when 2 a.m. becomes 1 a.m.

Daylight saving started in the United States in 1918 after “war time” was established as a way to conserve fuel. It has since been adjusted twice. The most recent change occurred in 2007 and extended the time change by a month after the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was passed, which amended the Uniform Time Act of 1966. Between 1987 and 2006, daylight saving time lasted seven months.
